I’m a freelance writer, health humanities geek, a consultant to nonprofit and government health organizations, an emergency medical technician, and a sometimes English professor. I’m also a mom, runner, hiker, and knitter with an embarrassingly large stash. I’m passionate about connecting health care and health through fiction, poetry, drama, and the arts. I’ve published widely in multiple genres, ranging from adventure travel to online health information to academic journal articles. I live at the end of the road in a tiny not-quite-town with my daughter, a Sheprador named Tiki, and Hermes the cat.
